The National Assembly has passed a resolution stating that relevant authorities will be empowered to tackle social media propaganda against Pakistan’s institutions, both within and outside the country.

Moved by Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, the resolution said: “Those involved in such propaganda campaigns should strictly be dealt with as per the law.”

The resolution, according to Asif, was a way of condemning the incidents of May 9 by the Parliament.
