We saw ‘forced inclusions’ in 2018, Sharjeel Memon hits back at Imran

Addressing the media in Karachi, Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that “forced inclusions” were made in order to have PTI Chairman Imran Khan elected to the office of prime minister in 2018.

Referring to a recent tweet by the PTI chief in which he termed the departure of PTI members from the party as “forced divorces”, Memon said, “We have also seen forced inclusions in Pakistan in 2018 and before that. […] containers filled with people were brought to your sit-ins to make them successful.

“The Pakistani nation has not forgotten whatever was done to artificially make you the prime minister,” he added.

Memon further said members who left the PTI were the same ones who had been forcefully made to join the party and were not “ideological PTI members who had been influenced by any view of yours”.
