GUJRANWALA: The body of a 25-year-old woman was allegedly desecrated in the graveyard of Qila Didar Singh village.

The family visited the grave on May 23 and discovered it open and the shroud torn. Forensic teams and police have collected evidence from the scene.

The police have registered a case against one person and his three unidentified accomplices.

The incident occurred after the woman of Mubarak Ali from Kot Bhavanidas Ladhe Ki, died by suicide on May 22 by consuming poisonous pills. When the mother and brother of the deceased arrived at the grave for prayers the next day, they made the distressing discovery.

The local police and forensic teams gathered evidence and registered a case. Efforts are underway to arrest the suspect
