Dengue fever resurfaces in Kech with full intensity

GWADAR: The dengue fever was once again in full swing in Kech district as in the last few days 45 new cases have been reported from Gokdan, Dhank, Bahman Shahi Tump, Koshaklat, Kahn Pusht, Chah Sar, Koshak Malikabad, Zor Bazar, Dashti Bazar, Sangani Sar and Apsar areas.

These areas were under the grip of Josik-dengue, and the number of patients was increasing day by day.

Dr Waqar Taj and Dr Iqbal Baloch, assistant professors at Lati Hai Makran Medical College, shed light on the devastation caused by dengue and discussed preventive measures. They explained that dengue was an infection caused by a specific virus and it was usually more common in people with weakened immune systems.

Four different types of viruses cause dengue fever in humans, each of which can only infect a person once.

Meanwhile, the All Parties Kech delegation met MS Dr Khalid Baloch in his office to discuss the issue of dengue fever in Turbat.

Patients were being admitted to both public and private hospitals in Turbat, while dozens of people are undergoing treatment in hospitals in Karachi, the delegation said.
