TAXILA: Police during crackdown against the drug mafia, arrested five drug peddlers while a huge quantity of drugs was recovered from their possession.

Police said that acting on a tip off, a police party led by Station House Officer (SHO) Sarmad Ilyas in Taxila arrested Younas, Ayesha Bano, Waqar and Zahid while a team from Wah Saddar police station, led by SHO Rana Kashif arrested Ajmal and recovered over 4 kilogrammes of hashish and ice. Moreover, police arrested liquor suppliers besides recovering a huge quantity of liquor from their possession.

About 60 liters of locally made liquor, 80 bottles of liquor and other manufacturing tools were recovered from one place, 92 bottles of liquor were recovered from Mansha and Wajahat while 10 liters of locally made liquor was recovered from Sajid. Separate cases were registered against all these persons.
