‘China’s G20 boycott foils India’s claim on held Kashmir’

GILGIT: Gilgit-Baltistan Minister for Tourism Raja Nasir Ali Khan has said that China’s boycott of the G20 meeting in held Kashmir has thwarted India’s attempt to convince the world that the occupied territory is its undisputed part.

He said the GB government appreciates China and acknowledges its strong role in exposing India.

The GB minister, while talking to reporters, said that conducting the G20 meeting in the disputed region was a violation of the United Nations resolutions and laws.

“It was the first international conference in the disputed region after India revoked the special status of held Kashmir in 2019. The controversial event has created diplomatic tensions,” he said.

“Pakistan had opposed the meeting in held Kashmir and as a member of the G20, China supported Pakistan’s stance on the issue. The GB government will remember China’s historical role,” the minister said.
