Pre-arrest bail of Imran extended
LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court on Tuesday extended the interim pre-arrest bail of former prime minister Imran Khan in three cases relating to the May 9 riots.
Khan did not personally appear before the court as his lawyer filed an application seeking one-time exemption from personal appearance citing medical reasons.
The lawyer told the court that the former prime minister returned from Islamabad late at night and had a complaint of fever and serious fatigue.
Khan had gone to the federal capital to attend hearings of multiple cases against him.
Judge Ijaz Ahmad Buttar allowed the application and extended the pre-arrest bail of the PTI chairman in cases of attack on Jinnah House, Askari Tower and Shadman police station till June 27.
The judge also summoned the investigation report by the police at the next hearing.
ASAD UMAR:An anti-terrorism court on Tuesday extended the interim pre-arrest bail of PTI’s former secretary general Asad Umar in a case of Askari Tower, Liberty, attack during the May 9 protests.
Umar appeared before the court on expiry of his pre-arrest bail.
Judge Ijaz Ahmad Buttar extended the bail till June 27 and directed the PTI leader to join the police investigation.
