QUETTA: Unknown attackers gunned down a tribal elder and injured two others in the city on Saturday, according to the police.

The police said armed men opened fire on Lala Zahir Khan Dummar when he was passing through the Double Road area.

He died on the spot while his two friends were injured.

The police shifted the body and injured to the Civil Hospital. The deceased sustained multiple bullet injuries, which caused his death.

The motive behind the killing could not be immediately determined.
