Minor boy killed over petty dispute in DI Khan

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A man and his son allegedly drowned a nine-year-old boy in a pond over a petty dispute here on Sunday, the police said.

A Kulachi police station official said that Akbar Zaman Banuchi, 62, hailing from Gomal Bazaar Manjhi area of Tank district, and currently residing in Bachaabad area here, reported that

his nine-year-old grandson, Noor Jamal, and his 10-year-old sister, Shahnaz Bibi, were collecting firewood in the area when Shahnaz came running home, complaining Faizullah and his son, Hazrat, also residents of Bachaabad area, had drowned her brother in a pond.

The complainant said that as soon he reached the spot, he found Noor Jamal lying dead in the water.

He said that the reason for the boy’s killing was that his family had an argument with the accused three years ago over a children fight.

However, he said that the dispute had been resolved.

The police registered a case and started further investigation.
