Cricket Coaching Project enters second phase
LAHORE: The second phase of the Engro Cricket Coaching Project, which is part of the PCB Pathway Cricket Programme, starts on Wednesday simultaneously in Lahore and Muridke.
Following the first phase, the second phase will see the participation of 55 Under-19 players, guided by five coaches. The programme, which concludes on Aug 10, will see local coaches collaborating with renowned names from Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom and Zimbabwe, including Geoff Lawson, Scott McLaren (strength and conditioning coach), Gordon Parsons, Julian Fountain and Tatenda Taibu.
During the first phase, 25 Under-13 players trained at Lahore’s NCA from July 13 to 24 while 37 Under-16 players participated in the program at the MCC from July 10 to 24.
The upcoming phase will have 27 players attending the camp at the National Cricket Academy, with the remaining 28 players at the Muridke Academy.
