QUETTA: A woman and her daughter were shot dead as they were returning home in a rickshaw in Satellite area here on Wednesday.

Both women died on the spot, while rickshaw driver Amir Hamza suffered gunshot wounds in the attack by armed motorcyclists in the Samungli Road area.

Police shifted the bodies to Civil Hospital medico-legal formalities and later handed them over to the family.

The cause of the killing could not be ascertained as police initiated investigations, officials said.
