Two siblings die after drinking milkshake

TOBA TEK SINGH: Two children died and their mother became unconscious after they had milkshake at Tariq Colony in Mamukanjan, Faisalabad on Thursday.

An hour after taking milkshake made at home, all three started vomiting and fainted. Both the children, Ruha Raza (6) and Ruhan Raza (4), died before being shifted to hospital while their mother was rushed to the Rural Health Centre Mamukanjan where doctors referred her to the DHQ Hospital Faisalabad.

The deceased were grandchildren of Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadees Punjab president Maulana Abdul Rashid Hajazi.

WALL COLLAPSE: Three members of a family suffered critical injuries after a wall of their house fell on them near Muhammadi Chowk of Madina Town of Faisalabad.

They were identified as Muhammad Boota (50), his wife Bushra Bibi (45) and their son Muhammad Ahmad (19).

Rescue 1122 personnel and the area people removed debris and rescued them. They were shifted to the Allied Hospital.

OPERATION: In an operation started on the direction of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Naeem, the district council’s anti encroachment staff demolished the boundary walls and gates of two illegal housing schemes in Toba Tek Singh.

District Council chief officer Anwar Baig Sial said owners of both schemes, Rehman City and Grand View Colony, had not got approval from the departments concerned.
