Rawalpindi sees surge in dengue cases
RAWALPINDI: The number of dengue patients has increased to 50 in Rawalpindi district.
According to the District Health Authority and allied departments, every possible effort is being made to curb the viral infection across the district by carrying out anti-dengue campaigns in response to alarmingly increase in cases.
According to details, in the ongoing year so far, the administration has registered 694 FIRs for violating dengue SOPs, sealed 166 places, submitted 344 challans and imposed a fine amounting to Rs1,149,500.
The officials of the District Health Authority said all institutions were working together to ensure anti-dengue measures. Moreover, as per the instructions of the Punjab government, the action plan prepared with regard to the anti-dengue measures was being strictly implemented.
Furthermore, surveillance activities have also been accelerated to contain dengue virus as the current weather conditions trigger mosquito breeding.
