Over 500 Balochistan patients to get advanced treatment
QUETTA: The Balochistan Awami Endowment Fund (BAEF) board has approved cases of more than 500 patients to help them get treated for several diseases.
The decision was taken in the 20th board meeting of the BAEF held under the chairmanship of the Balochistan’s social welfare department secretary on Tuesday.
Most of the 532 new cases presented at the meeting were approved for treatment.
The aid would be given under the BAEF initiative to poor and needy patients suffering from different chronic diseases so that they could get treatment in the best public and private hospitals across the country.
As many as 161 patients would be provided treatment in the Bolan Medical Complex (BMC) Hospital Quetta, 179 people would be treated in Sinar Hospital Quetta, 69 in Agha Khan Hospital Karachi, 21 in Ziauddin Hospital Karachi, 21 in Liaquat National Hospital Karachi, 13 in NIBD Karachi, eight in Shifa International Hospital Islamabad, 20 in Kiran Hospital Karachi, four in National Medical Centre Karachi, two in Shaukat Khanum Hospital Lahore, six in Tabba Heart Hospital Karachi, 20 in Gambat Hospital, two in Patel Hospital and one in PKLI Lahore.
