Batman Beyond compendium

DC Comics is celebrating the 25th anniversary of Batman Beyond with a special treat for fans. Releasing on March 5th, 2024, the Batman Beyond: The Animated Series Classics Compendium is a massive 700-page paperback that collects issues of the original tie-in comic book from the animated series set in the DC Animated Universe.

The collection features the futuristic adventures of Terry McGinnis as the new Dark Knight, mentored by Bruce Wayne, fighting crime in a futuristic Gotham City.

The stories showcase Batman Beyond’s rogue’s gallery, including battles with the Royal Flush Gang, Spellbinder, Terminal, Shriek, Stalker and Splicers. There are guest appearances from Barbara Gordon, Etrigan the Demon, Aquagirl, the Kai-Ro Green Lantern and many more.

Gru and minions are coming back!

Despicable Me 4, the latest instalment in the successful Despicable Me franchise, will hit theatres on July 3, 2024.

The movie is expected to continue the story and explore the involvement of Gru and Lucy’s kids in the anti-villain league.

So far, only five actors have been confirmed for the upcoming sequel, and more casting announcements are expected as the release date approaches. As for the plot, hints suggest that the adopted Gru sisters may play a significant role, possibly becoming AVL agents (Anti-Villain League) themselves.

Despicable Me 4 will get a full international theatrical release and likely appear on streaming services like Peacock and Netflix.

A little more wait for Shrek 5

Good news for Shrek fans, the entire Shrek cast and crew is set to return for a fifth film in the series.

In April 2023, Illumination Entertainment founder and CEO Chris Meledandri revealed Universal and Dreamworks (two creative partners to Illumination) were looking to possibly reboot the Shrek franchise, but that he would also love to see the film’s original cast return for a fifth movie; however, no deals have yet been put in place, and (as of April 2023) negotiations were ongoing. Not much is currently known about Shrek 5’s plot.

So, whatever happens, the movie will be little different than anything that has come within the franchise before.
