Girl students of Peshawar clinch top positions in SSC exam
PESHAWAR: The girl students of Peshawar Model Schools got the top three positions in the annual secondary school certificate (SSC) examinations as results were declared by all educational boards in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
For the first time in the history of the province, the results of SSC examinations were announced simultaneously by all the educational boards.
Adan Shahid, a student of Peshawar Model Girls High School-II Dalazak Road, has secured the overall first position by obtaining 1,086 marks out of 1,100. Lubna Alam of Peshawar Model School Charsadda stood position with 1,083 marks.
The third position was shared by Aneeba Asad and Musfira Gul of PMS-II Dalazak Road by getting 1,082 marks each.
All boards of KP announce results simultaneously for first time
The four students topped not only the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Peshawar but also secured maximum marks in all the boards in the province. According to the results, overall success rate in the examination under the BISE Peshawar is 86 per cent, according to a statement issued from the Chief Minister’s House.
A formal ceremony in this regard was held here at Chief Minister’s House on Tuesday. Chief Minister Mohammad Azam Khan was chief guest on the occasion.
In BISE Abbottabad, the success rate is 82 per cent. The Abbottabad board was topped by Amama Noor with 1,064 marks whereas Toba Murtaza stood second with 1,059 marks and Fakhta Sadiq secured third position with 1,055 marks.
In BISE Bannu, the success rate is 87 per cent. The board was topped by Javed Khan with 1,056 marks whereas Rizwanullah and Rabia Saadullah Khan secured second and third positions by getting 1,053 and 950 marks, respectively.
Overall success rate in the examinations held under BISE Dera Ismail Khan is 88.07 per cent. According to the results, Saira Bibi and Dua Zainab clinched the first position in the DI Khan board by obtaining 1,064 marks. Iman Saleem got second position with 1,063 marks whereas Momina Sadia and Hadia Zainab clinched third position with 1,060 marks.
In BISE Kohat, the overall success rate is 87.45 per cent. Syed Adan Raza got first position in Kohat board by getting 1,048 marks whereas Ahmad Ali with 1,045 marks stood second and Minhal Naeem secured third position by obtaining 1,040 marks.
In the Malakand board, the success rate remained 91 per cent. Mohammad Farooq obtained 1,083 marks and secured the overall first position in the board. Mehreen Hamish with 1,081 marks remained at second position whereas Sabhat Malik with 1,079 marks stood third.
Overall success rate in the examinations held under BISE Mardan is 87 per cent. Maheen Chand and Sarah Khan with 1,075 marks shared the overall first position whereas Bismah Rehman, Shaista Tahir and Nida Iqbal shared second position with 1,074 marks.
Similarly, overall success rate in BISE Swat is 88 per cent. Jawad Alam secured first position with 1,073 marks, Irfanullah stood second with 1,072 marks whereas Shakirullah and Adil Muneeb Ahmad clinched third position by getting 1,070 marks.
Addressing the result announcement ceremony, the caretaker chief minister felicitated the students, their parents and teachers on their remarkable success.
He said that the students, who succeeded in the board examinations, not only got the reward of their hard work but also made their parents and teachers proud. He added that the basic requirements for success in any profession were commitment, sincerity and wholehearted dedication that paved the way for achieving ultimate goal.
Mr Khan said that development of education sector always remained priority of every government and state. He added that the caretaker provincial government was paying special attention to education sector despite its limited mandate and resources.
