Terror section added to three FIRs against PTI activists

RAWALPINDI: Police have added section 21(1) of the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) to three FIRs registered in the wake of attacks on military installations in Rawalpindi - apparently to nominate PTI chief Imran Khan in the cases.

A senior police official confirmed that the police had added section 21(1) of the ATA (abetment) to the three FIRs. The police have detained about 230 suspects in connection with the three cases so far.

He said that more than 150 suspects wanted by police in cases registered in connection with the May 9 attacks on the military installations, including the GHQ and Hamza Camp.

In Rawalpindi, 15 FIRs were registered under the anti-terrorism and other law. As many as 250 suspects were wanted in the GHQ attack case, 150 in Hamza camp attack and about 100 in the museum attack case.
