Kidnapped youths found murdered
NAROWAL: Two youths, who had been kidnapped five days ago in Sialkot, were found murdered and their mutilated bodies were recovered from nearby fields on Monday.
Riaz Ahmad, a resident of Jundu Sahi village in Daska tehsil, complained to the police that on Sept 6, his nephew Ghulam Mustafa (20) and his grandson Subhan (21) left home and did not return.
He suspected that they had been kidnapped by unknown men. The Bombanwala police registered a kidnapping case on the complaint of Riaz and launched a search.
Sialkot district police spokesman Khuram Shahzad said families of the youths along with personnel were searching for the young men when some locals informed the police of the presence of two bodies in the fields of Jandu Sahi village. As a result, police reached the spot and took custody of the bodies and initiated an investigation.
The preliminary examination revealed that the two youths had been killed on Sept 6. The exact details will only be clear after the lab reports.
DPO Muhammad Hasan Iqbal has formed investigative and raiding teams led by DSP Malik Muhammad Khalil to arrest the suspects.
KILLED: A woman was allegedly killed by her neighbour over a trifle here on Monday at Dogar Khurd village in Sialkot.
Labourer Muhammad Butta told the police that his 27-year-old daughter Amna Bibi was on the roof of the house on Sunday night.
He said their neighbour Mohammad Tayyab had installed searchlights on his house. When Amna Bibi requested Mohammad Tayyab to turn off the searchlights, an argument erupted, leading Tayyab and Abdul Ghaffar to open fire.
As a result, Amna sustained severe injuries and succumbed to her wounds on the spot. The suspects fled the scene.
The Aguki police have registered a murder case against Tayyab and Abdul Ghaffar on the complaint of Butta.
The DPO has formed a team to arrest the suspects.
