Pindi hospitals continue to receive dengue patients

RAWALPINDI : A total of 24 more dengue patients were reported in three government-run hospitals on Tuesday, taking the tally to 439.

After the arrival of new patients, the number of confirmed patients in three government-run hospitals increased to 35 and nine of them were in critical condition.

As many as 13 confirmed dengue patients are in Holy Family Hospital (HFH), eight in Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH), 13 in District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital, three in Al-Khidmat Razi Hospital, and four in four different private hospitals.

Most dengue patients arrived from Faisal Colony, Rail View Housing Scheme, Chaklala, Gulistan Colony, Chakri Road, Gulraiz Housing Society, Allahabad, Muslim Town, Wakeel Colony, and Airport Housing Society.

The officials said that the health department teams were continuing indoor and outdoor operations on a daily basis.

On Tuesday, more than 10,041 houses were checked in Rawalpindi, and dengue larvae were found in 536 houses. Similarly, more than 2703 outdoor spots were checked in hotspots, and dengue larvae were found in 88 spots.
