ISLAMABAD: The country has 3.3 million tonnes of fertiliser stocks to meet requirements in the upcoming rabi season.

Chairing a meeting to review the availability and stock position, Commerce Minister Gohar Ijaz said there was no shortage and gas supply to the fertiliser units would be maintained uninterrupted.

“Uninterrupted supply of gas to the fertiliser industry will also be kept on the agenda in the next meeting of the cabinet,” the minister said.

The meeting was informed that the government will make every effort to ensure that farmers have access to fertilisers at the rates fixed by the government.
