Wonder Craft : Green decor

Welcome to the world of creative recycling, where everyday items find new life as functional and charming decor! Today, we’re going to transform a simple plastic bottle into a delightful planter that not only adds a touch of greenery to your space, but also promotes sustainability.

So, grab your scissors, an empty plastic bottle and a water-loving plant, because it’s time to bring greenery to your house.

Things you need:

  1. Empty plastic bottle, (one litre)

  2. Scissors or paper cutter

  3. Hot glue

  4. A string or jute rope (12 inches piece)

  5. Marker

  6. Small stones

Directions:

  1. Mark the plastic bottle four inches below the neck and three inches above the bottom of the bottle, as shown in picture 2.

  2. With the help of an adult, carefully cut both parts from the bottle, picture 3.

  3. Take the top part (neck) of the bottle, place the bottle cap on its edge, and draw semi-circles according to its size all around the edge, as shown in picture 4.

  4. Now, carefully cut along the drawn circles to create a curved edge, picture 5.

  5. Take the bottom part of the bottle and place the bottle cap on it. Draw a circle according to its size. You have two options: either cut a hole out with the help of an adult and insert the bottleneck through it, pictures 6, 7, and 8.

  6. The second option is to apply some hot glue to the cap (the top part), and attach it on top of the bottom part of the bottle, picture 9.

  7. If you prefer using hot glue, in that case, wrap a piece of jute rope around the neck of the bottle, picture 10.

Our charming plastic bottle planter is now complete. Fill it with some small stones, water and a water-loving plant, and you’ll be amazed at how wonderful it looks. This craft shows just one of the many creative ways we can recycle plastic bottles.
