Goosebumps reboot premieres in October

A Goosebumps reboot is set to spook viewers on Disney+ and Hulu, with five episodes on October 13 as part of Disney+’s ‘Hallowstream’ and Hulu’s ‘Huluween’ events, with the first two episodes airing on Freeform on October 31.

The series, based on R.L. Stine’s iconic horror books, follows high schoolers on a quest to solve a decades-old mystery while uncovering dark family secrets. The teaser, titled Don’t Blink, offers a thrilling glimpse of the show.

The new Goosebumps will centre on five high schoolers who investigate the mysterious passing of teenager Harold Biddle, in their hometown three decades ago. The kids will discover the dark mysteries their parents kept hidden and face down the supernatural forces beyond their comprehension.

Spy Kids: Armageddon, a new action comedy on Netflix

Spy Kids: Armageddon is a reboot of Robert Rodriguez’s Spy Kids film series starring Alexa Vega and Daryl Sabara.

The new movie follows Patty (Everly Carganilla) and Tony (Connor Esterson), the daughter and son of elite spies Terrence (Levi) and Nora (Rodriguez). Patty and Tony must suit up themselves after a rogue virus brings video game villains to life.

“When the children of the world’s greatest secret agents unwittingly help a powerful game developer unleash a computer virus that gives him control of all technology, they must become spies themselves to save their parents and the world,” an official synopsis reads.

Toy Story-themed NFL alternate broadcast

Toy Story Funday Football, a real-time animated alternate presentation of the Atlanta Falcons and Jacksonville Jaguars football game, will stream on October 1 on Disney+ and ESPN+. The teams will play at Wembley Stadium in London as part of the NFL’s annual series of international games.

The broadcast will use the NFL’s Next Gen Stats player tracking data to virtually recreate every player and play in Andy’s room from the Toy Story universe. So fans will view every run, pass, score and action through state-of-the-art tracking technology. Also, the announcers, graphics, scoreboard, penalty announcements, celebrations and more will be presented with a Toy Story theme. Toy Story characters will appear in the broadcast, participating from the side-lines and in other non-gameplay elements.
