SC repatriates officers on deputation

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court administration has started surrendering the services of officers working in the top judiciary on deputation to streamline its service structure.

In a series of notifications issued after the approval of Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa, the services of Amer Saleem Rana, a district and sessions judge in Grade 21 serving as additional registrar in Grade 21 on deputation, has been repatriated to his parent department which is the Lahore High Court.

Likewise, Munawar Ali, a senior civil judge in Grade 19, who had been discharging his duties as deputy registrar in Grade 20 on deputation, will return to his parent department, the Sindh High Court, Karachi.

Mohammad Akram Soomro, a senior auditor in Grade 17 and serving as assistant accounts officer in Grade 17 on deputation, will be repatriated to his parent department, the Accountant General Pakistan Revenues Islamabad.

Mohammad Owais, a senior civil judge-cum-magistrate in Grade 19, who was officiating as the deputy registrar in Grade 20, will return to the Lahore High Court.

On Sept 14, the services of Abdul Razzaque, district and sessions judge in Grade 22, who was working as registrar Supreme Court in Grade 22, was also repatriated to LHC.

In his place, Jazeela Aslam was appointed as the registrar Supreme Court. She was earlier serving as district and sessions judge Okara and in the same position in Kasur and Sialkot. She is the senior most lady district and sessions judge in Punjab.
