Girls excel in HSSC exam results declared by Swat, Malakand boards

SWAT/LOWER DIR: Girls outshined the boys in the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Part-II examination results declared by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Saidu Sharif, here on Tuesday.

The results were announced during a ceremony, where secretary higher education Arshad Khan was the chief guest. BISE secretary Umar Hussain, controller of examinations Mohammad Ishaq, college principals, teachers, students and their parents were in attendance.

Azka Mustaan from SPS College secured the top position, bagging 1,046 marks. Hajra Ismail of Alrazi Public School, Kanju, secured the second position with 1,040 marks, and Raheela, also a student of SPS College, clinched the third position, attaining 1,035 marks.

In the pre-engineering group, all the top three positions were clinched by students of Government Degree College, Mingora. Aseer Ahmad secured the first position, bagging 976 marks, followed closely by Maaz Hussain with 975 marks and Ishaq Khan 974 marks.

In computer science group, Mohammad Ilyas Khan took the top spot by securing 924 marks; Roohullah Hameed secured the second position with 887 marks and Ayesha Rehman clinched the third position.

In humanities group, Ms Samreen from Government Postgraduate Girls College, Said Sharif, attained the first position with 923 marks, Ms Humaira, a private student from Shangla, secured the second position with 906 marks, and Ms Smreen from Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Fatehpur, grabbed the third position with 903 marks.

The girls, who secured top positions, attributed their success to the prayers of their parents and the dedicated efforts of their teachers.

Addressing the gathering, higher education secretary Arshad Khan congratulated the top position holders. He emphasised the importance of diligent efforts by the educated youth in advancing the country towards progress.

Meanwhile, Tayyiba Qazi, a student of Islamia Model College, Timergara, Lower Dir, stood first in the HSSC Part-II examination results declared by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Malakand, on Tuesday.

She secured 1,035 marks.

Aiaqa Javed of Edwards Model College, Timergara, secured 1,012 marks and Faiza Shams of Islamia Model College, Timergara 1,009 marks and stood second and third, respectively.

In pre-engineering group, Suliman Ahmad obtained 947 marks, Mohammad Rafi 945 marks and Sunbal Jabin got 938 marks, standing first, second and third, respectively.

In humanities group, Riyan Mohammad got 959 marks, Saima Naz 944 marks and Jalwa Ahmad 936 marks, and stood first, second and third, respectively.
