Muslims stand by Palestinians in their struggle against Israel: JI
LOWER DIR: Jamaat-i-Islami chief Sirajul Haq has said that the entire Muslim Ummah is standing by Palestinians in their struggle against the Israeli occupation.
He was addressing the concluding session of a seven-day Fahmul Quran class at Timergara Rest House Ground as chief guest here on Sunday. JI provincial deputy chief Maulana Ismail delivered lectures on different topics during the class. Hundreds of male and female workers, youth and local elders attended the concluding session.
The participants prayed for Palestinian fighters, political stability in Pakistan and durable peace and prosperity in the country.
The JI chief said that his party stood firm with Palestinians and would continue to extend moral, political and financial support to them. He said the Palestinians were the worst victim of barbarism and they were struggling to get rid of the Israeli aggression.
Condemning the Israeli government and its forces for bombarding Palestinians, he said that world powers were siding with aggressors instead of stopping them from killing innocent Palestinians. He said that Israelis established an illegitimate state with the help of western powers.
Mr Siraj said that Israeli state snatched even the right of living from Palestinians. He appreciated Hamas for attacking Israel and said that his party was praying for its success. He said that the attacks by Hamas shocked the western world and several countries hurried to support Israel.
Also, addressing the JI monthly congregation at Ahyaul Uloom Balambat on Saturday night, the JI chief asked people to support religious parties in the next general elections.
He said that secular political parties ruled the country for 76 years and pushed it to the verge of collapse. He that leadership of religious parties could steer the country out of crises.
Mr Siraj said that all major political parties including PPP, PML-N and PTI failed to deliver. He said that rulers mortgaged the country with International Monetary Fund and World Bank. He said that inflation, unemployment and corruption broke the back of poor. He said that nation should support JI if it wanted to get rid of the clutches of IMF and WB.
