CHARSADDA: A youth was killed and his friend injured when unidentified men opened fire at them after an altercation during a musical show at a wedding ceremony here on Monday.

The injured man, Jawad reported to the city police that he along with his friends, Wasiq Jan, Hazrat Farooq, Farhad, Huzaifa and Asif, had gone to attend a wedding ceremony in Marwande area. He said on their return from the wedding ceremony, four armed men opened indiscriminate fire on them, leaving Wasiq Jan dead on the spot, while he suffered injuries.

He, however, said his other companions escaped unhurt. He told the police that he didn’t know the names of the accused.

The city police registered a case and began further investigations.
