Bodies of six labourers sent to Multan

QUETTA: Bodies of six labourers who were killed by unidentified armed men in the Satellite Town area of Turbat, were sent to Multan for burial in their native towns by the Balochistan government in a helicopter on Sunday.

The labourers were targeted by unidentified armed men while sleeping in an under-construction house of a local contractor. Two workers injured in the shooting incident were shifted to Multan on Thursday by the Balochistan government via its official plane.

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Ali Mardan Domki was present at the Khalid airbase on the occasion along with family members of the deceased.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Domki termed the targeted killing of innocent workers the height of brutality and said that targeting the poor labourers in such a way was inhumane and strict action would be taken against the elements involved in this act and they would be brought to justice.
