Two compactor vehicles given to RWMC for Murree

RAWALPINDI: Commissioner Rawalpindi Liaquat Ali Chatha handed over two new compactor vehicles to the Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) administration to improve the sanitation system in Murree.

Deputy Commissioner Murree Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi, along with RWMC Chief Executive Officer Rana Sajid Safdar, participated in a ceremony held at the Commissioner’s Office in Rawalpindi.

Commissioner Rawalpindi Liaqat Ali Chatha and Murree Deputy Commissioner Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi handed over the keys of the vehicles to Manager RWMC Murree Raja Muhammad Ishaq.

Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Rawalpindi said that the increase in vehicles is a good step to improve the sanitation system in Murree. RWMC workers were already engaged in a cleanliness drive in Murree, and this would further improve the sanitation system in Murree, he said.

He said that the Rawalpindi Waste Management Company is committed to a clean Murree and compactor vehicles as well as waste treatment plants will help in the destruction of garbage.

He further said that there would be no need to bring garbage to the distant area of Losar as DC Murree, RWMC, and Kohsar University are setting up a waste treatment plant that will be inaugurated soon.
