PML-N Sindh caravans leave for Lahore

NAWABSHAH: Leaders and activists of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz left for Lahore via a special train from different towns of the province on Friday to welcome their leader, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, who is returning to the country after a hiatus of three years.

PML-N Sindh president Shah Mohammad Shah told media persons at the Hyderabad railway station that Nawaz Sharif was neither afraid of jails nor could he be intimidated, because he had made a deal with people.

When the special train, which departed from Karachi to take party workers to Lahore, reached Hyderabad, their comrades accorded them a warm welcome.

The party sources said that workers, including many women, from Hyderabad, Jamshoro, Tharparkar, Mirpurkhas, Badin, Sujawal and other areas had boarded the train.

Shah said that after Nawaz’s return, unemployment, inflation and terrorism would come to end in the country. The current inflation was due to weak policies of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government, he added.

Other party leaders said that people across the country were eager to welcome Nawaz Sharif and “our workers will reach Lahore through trains, buses and other means of transportation to greet him”.

At Nawabshah railway station, more than 300 PML-N activists boarded the train and joined Shah Mohammad Shah’s caravan.

Earlier, at Mirpurkhas railway station, activists led by the party’s Sindh chapter vice president Asif Meraj boarded the train.

Meraj told reporters that Nawaz Sharif’s aim was to bring economic stability to Pakistan.

A large number of workers of the minority wing of PML-N Mirpurkhas were also part of the caravan.
