Book on China-Pakistan ties launched
KARACHI: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori and China’s Consul General in Karachi Yang Yundong attended the launch of a book on Islamabad and Beijing relationship.
Written by Dr Rashid Jamal, Pakistan-China All-Weather Strategic Partner highlighted the more than seven decades of friendship between the two countries.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chinese diplomat said the two countries are close allies and their people of both countries love each other.
“Dr Rashid Jamal has worked to bring the people of both countries closer by writing a book on Pakistan-China relations. I congratulate him for this,” said the diplomat, according to a press release issued here.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Tessori said the friendship between Pakistan and China is deeper than the sea and higher than the Himalayas.
The establishment of the Pakistan-China Friendship Park a few months ago is also a gift from Beijing to the people of Karachi, he said, adding: “We have the most capable people in every field but the problem is we do not utilise their skills.”
He stressed the need of availing full benefits of the China’s technology by Pakistan.
Prof Dr Syed Jafar Ahmed, Barrister Shahida Jamil and others also spoke.
