LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lahore recovered Rs4.1bn in plea bargain (PB) in 2023.

Speaking at a ceremony in connection with the Anti-Corruption Day here on Saturday, NAB Lahore Director General Amjad Majeed Aulakh said during 2023 the Lahore bureau held plea bargain (PB) of Rs4.15bn under the approval of accountability courts and the amount was distributed among the affected of different scams. He said the bureau was introducing productive reforms in the housing sector affairs.

Talking about the elements contributing to spread of corruption in society, he argued that poverty could not be declared as a sole factor as other negative social contributors also encouraged spread of corruption in a society.
