Two murdered in separate incidents in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD: Two persons were murdered in the capital in separate incidents, police said on Friday.
In the first incident, a man was stabbed to death by two neighbours in the area of Ittefaq Colony, police said, adding that the deceased was identified as Asadullah Khan.
The incident took place when he, along with his brother and father, was returning home from the market after purchasing groceries when their neighbours intercepted him and stabbed him in his chest and neck. The attackers managed to escape. Later, the injured was shifted to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Tarnol police have registered a murder case against the attackers in response to the complaint lodged by the deceased’s brother.
In the other incident, a man was shot dead by a security guard over a petty issue in the area of F-17, the police said. The deceased was identified as Zarwali Khan.
The incident took place when Zarwali and his brothers were going to the market in F-17 through an unmetalled path, when two security guards asked them not to use the path to reach the market.
As a result, arguments started between them, during which one of the guards opened fire with his 12-bore gun, the police said, adding that as a result, Zarwali Khan sustained an injury and died on the spot.
