Staying safe on the road

This is regarding the cover article “Staying safe on the road” by Benazir Raz (YW, November 11). The article was the need of the time, as we often witness reckless drivers who ignore traffic rules.

The article emphasised the importance of teaching kids about road safety from a young age and instilling the significance of following traffic rules in every person’s life.

Accidents on the roads are a common occurrence due to the lack of adherence to rules. All of us must follow these rules to avoid accidents. I appreciate the writer for including information about safety gear for kids and stressing the importance of using them whenever possible. We should always prioritise arriving safely rather than a few minutes early.

I enjoyed reading the article “Staying safe on the road” by Benazir Raz, as it was an excellent piece on teaching kids the importance of traffic rules and following the law.

In our daily lives, we can’t avoid traffic, be it while going to school, college, university or work. We encounter various types of drivers, some being very careful, but most lack patience. They drive recklessly as if tomorrow doesn’t matter. Consequently, accidents occur.

The article excellently emphasised the importance of adhering to traffic rules to prevent any mishaps. It is my request to youngsters to pay attention to the traffic, whether they are driving alone or with an elder.

Teens on wheels

This is regarding the article “Teens on wheels” by Mirha Asif (YW, November 11). I agree with the writer that over the past decade, there has been a noticeable increase in teenagers riding motorcycles and driving cars without any proper training or licence. As a result, they lack the basic concepts and lessons necessary for driving. This lack of proper training contributes to the occurrence of accidents.

Parents must keep an eye on the activities of their kids and restrict their children from driving the vehicles if they are underage.

Swimming to conquer

This is regarding the story, “Swimming to conquer” by Mohammad Bilal Saeed (YW, November 18). Success comes from facing challenges and not from being afraid to try. There is no doubt that behind every successful person, there’s usually a lot of hard work. So one must face challenges and overcome his/her fears.
