Playing our part

This is with reference to the article “Playing our part” by Muhammad Ibrahim Shafi (YW, November 18). We often get tempted by various things and ask our parents to buy those things for us. This is absolutely wrong. It can have a great impact on our parents’ budget.

The writer encouraged us to engage in positive actions that contribute to the well-being of our country. By doing good things, we play a role in building a better future for our nation. This involves being mindful of our behaviour and making choices that have a positive impact on the community and the country as a whole.

Tricky turbulent teens

This is regarding the cover article “Tricky turbulent teens” by Yasmin Elahi (YW, November 18). The article was very informative and accurate. I strongly request that both parents and teenagers act based on their respective ages. However, it is crucial for everyone to recognise the sensitivity of the situation, with a greater responsibility falling on parents due to their experience and deeper understanding of their children.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading the article, especially since many kids are currently navigating the challenges of their teenage years and are in need of guidance.

Teenage years can be the trickiest and most sensitive time in a person’s life. During this period, a lot of changes take place, not just physically but also emotionally.

Teens often think in a way that can make things complicated for themselves and hard for others to understand. The people who can really help are the parents or guardians of these kids. Yasmin Elahi’s article, “Tricky turbulent teens,” did an excellent job of bringing attention to this issue. I believe that YW should provide more articles on teenagers because this age group needs attention and guidance.

The black horse

This is regarding the story “The black horse” by Alesha Merchant (YW, November 11). Animals are a crucial part of nature, making it beautiful and vibrant. They are a gift from God, and they add to the beauty of our surroundings.

Sadly, some people in our society harm innocent animals without realising their significance and that they are also living things and thus feel pain. The story conveyed the message that when we witness cruelty, we should not stay silent, but speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.
