Robbers kill Swabi realtor, snatch Rs5.4 million
SWABI: Unidentified robbers killed a property dealer on resistance and snatched Rs5.4 million from him, a senior police official said here on Wednesday.
DSP Jawad Khan said the family registered an FIR with the Topi city police station, stating that Sahibzada Rahman left his home in Kotha village on Tuesday, but did not return home.
He said the police started a search for the property dealer and found his body near the Gadoon Amazai Industrial Estate. He said the realtor was shot from a close range.
DSP Jawad said the preliminary investigation revealed that he was riding a motorcycle, carrying money that he was going to deliver to someone, when the robbers forced him to stop, but he resisted, prompting the attackers to open fire at him.
Meanwhile, two people were killed and two others seriously injured when a motorcycle, a rickshaw and a truck collided in Jagannath village on Wednesday, Rescue 1122 officials said.
On receiving information, a team of rescue service along with two ambulances reached the site and shifted the four injured to Tehsil Chota Lahor Headquarters Hospital, where two of the injured later succumbed to their injuries. They were identified as Shahab Khan, 25, and Attaullah Khan, 30.
The injured were Imran Khan, 35, and an unknown youngster.
The two injured were later shifted to Bacha Khan Medical Complex, Shahmansoor, in critical condition.
The police registered an FIR against the truck driver, who escaped from the scene.
WOMAN KILLED: A woman was killed when three brothers allegedly opened on her inside her house in Ismailia village of Razaar tehsil on Wednesday, the police and rescue officials said.
They said Murshida Begum was critically injured when Gul Sher, Sharbat Khan and Nihad Khan, opened fire on her.
SHO Kalu Khan police station Ajab Durrani said the woman told the police before dying that the three accused forced their way into her house and opened fire on her.
The woman told the police that the accused attacked her over a feud between her and their families.
Mr Durrani said she was shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, and later to Bacha Khan Medical Complex, Shahmansoor, where she succumbed to her injuries.
They police have registered an FIR against three brothers.
