Looted traders block National Highway near Khanbela
RAHIM YAR KHAN: Dacoits looted cell phones and currency worth millions from a mobile market of Khanbela town on National Highway, some 85 km from here, in early hours of Sunday.
Reports said the cell phone shopkeepers of the town closed their shops after 7pm on Saturday and returned to their homes. Late night some dacoits tied the security guard with ropes and collected cell phones andcash worth more than Rs 30 million after breaking the locks.
On Sunday morning, shopkeepers blocked the National Highway for two hours Thousands of trucks, buses and cars were seen struck in the blockade amid thick fog and cold.
Police spokesperson Saif Ali Wains did not return call to know police version.
