Anis beats Ali to reach U-17 snooker semi-final

LAHORE: Mohammad Anis of Punjab defeated Balochistan’s Ali Raza in a thrilling quarter-final of the MENU U-17 Junior National Snooker Championship here at the Pakistan Sports Board’s Coaching and Training Centre on Thursday.

Anis in a closely-fought match edged out Ali Raza 4-3 (60-47, 38-51, 22-63, 47-36, 67-50, 01-75, 65-39).

Punjab’s Aleem Owais, and Sindh players Mohammad Sahil and Mohammad Hasnain comfortably won the other three quarter-finals.
