‘12,000 Pakistanis studying in Kyrgyzstan’

ISLAMABAD: Health Minister of Kyrgyzstan Alymkadyr Beishenaliev on Monday said that currently a total of 12,000 Pakistani students have been studying in different universities in Kyrgyzstan.

In this context, Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan have agreed to develop a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in the field of medical education, which will be shared with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) for review.

As per a statement issued by the health ministry, a bilateral meeting was held between the Federal Minister for Health Dr Nadeem Jan, and the Health Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic on the sidelines of the Global Health Security Summit in Islamabad.

Both sides discussed the potential to strengthen cooperation in the health sector and bolster cooperation in the field of medical education.

The Kyrgyz Minister stated that Pakistan has good experience in the pharma sector, and the Kyrgyz Republic can benefit from it.
