Mengal urges voters to assess candidates’ past performance
QUETTA: Sardar Akhtar Mengal, President of Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M), has asserted that candidates relying on weak foundations and changing electoral symbols lack ideological commitment.
Addressing public gatherings in Khuzdar district, he, as the joint candidate of BNP-M and Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-F) in NA-256, along with Mir Younas Aziz Zehri of JUI-F, urged people to assess the performance of candidates over the past five years.
Mr Mengal emphasised that if the BNP has effectively represented the rights of Balochistan’s people, voters should support the party and its allies for continued representation in the assemblies.
Highlighting the 2018 alliance between BNP and JUI-F in Khuzdar, Mr Mengal expressed hope for another opportunity to serve the people.
He criticised opponents who frequently alter their ideologies, asserting that those lacking principled roots cannot effectively serve the public. He also reassured the public of BNP-M’s commitment to the rights of all Balochistan communities, considering itself the heir of everyone who identifies this province as their homeland.
