PTI changes nominations in Faisalabad, Toba
TOBA TEK SINGH: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has made three changes to the list of candidates in Faisalabad district, as per the revised list.
The PTI ticket for NA 97, Tandlianwala, previously awarded to Zulfiqar Ali Watto, has been replaced with Saadullah Baloch. The candidates in the running for this constituency include Istehkam Pakistan Party’s Humayun Akhtar Khan, PML-N’s Ali Gohar Baloch, PPP’s Nadim Shahadat Baloch, and PML-N’s former MNA Ayesha Rajab Baloch (as an independent candidate).
For NA-101, Nadeem Aftab Sindhu, previously announced as the PTI nominee, has been replaced with Rana Muhammad Atif.
The PTI ticket for PP 108, initially given to former provincial minister Rana Aftab Ahmad, now has a pending decision.
The revised list also clarified PTI tickets for Gojra tehsil, with Usama Hamza, Asad Zaman Cheema, and Asif Ihsan Gujjar declared as ticket holders for NA-105, PP-119, and PP-120. This rectification ended confusion, as candidates from the Warraich group had claimed to be ticket holders.
In Toba district, only NA 106 candidate Khalid Nawaz Sadrhaij and PP 121 candidate Khawar Sher Gadhi are actively campaigning openly. However, Usama Hamza and Riaz Fatyana, candidates for NA-105 and NA-106, and Asad Cheema, Asif Ihsan Gujjar, Saeed Ahmad Saeedi, Ashfa Fatyana, and Sonia Ali Raza, candidates for PP-119, PP-120, PP-122, PP-123, and PP-124 are either absent from the campaign or secretly visiting voters.
