Khattak says his ‘hard work’ in KP helped Imran form govt in centre

CHARSADDA: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf-Parliamentarians (PTI-P) chairman Pervez Khattak has said that Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz have always taken turns at the helm to only ‘fill’ their coffers.

Addressing an election gathering in Rashakai area here, the former chief minister claimed that Imran Khan was able to form the government in the centre after his (Khattak’s) five-year ‘hard work’ and ‘good governance’ in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He claimed in the forthcoming elections, his party candidates would forfeit the security deposits of PTI candidates. He alleged PTI had befooled the people with false promises, and that was why he had left Imran Khan and formed his own party.

He also said both PPP and PML-N were repeatedly befooling people by their changing narratives. He said Nawaz Sharif wanted another chance at the helm despite failing to deliver in his previous three stints as the prime minister. He said the successive regimes of PPP and PML-N had plunged the country into debt trap.

ANP MEETING: ANP provincial president and candidate for NA-25 Aimal Wali Khan has said his party candidates would won forthcoming elections across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Addressing an election gathering in Battagram area of Charsadda, he said ANP had strong position in Malakand and Peshawar regions.

He said after election the independent candidates would no more be the PTI candidates.

Aimal Wali said the 18th Constitutional Amendment should be implemented in its true spirit.

He said time had come to abolish the ministries transferred from the federation to the provinces.

He said ANP would go to any extent to safeguard the provincial autonomy both in and outside the parliament. He said the province was brought to bankruptcy during the PTI’s nine-year rule.

ANNIVERSARY: A ceremony was held at the Police Headquarters in Charsadda on Tuesday in connection with the first anniversary of the Peshawar Police Lines blast.

District police officer Nazir Khan along with other police officials presented a salute to the police martyrs and offered Fateha for the departed souls.

On January 30, 2023, a blast rocked the mosque in the Peshawar Police Lines. Many police officers and youth belonging to Charsadda were martyred and injured in the explosion.
