JI’s Senator Mushtaq vows to take 7 steps to ‘fix’ country’s issues
Jamaat-i-Islami’s Senator Mushtaq Ahmed has said that if voted to power, his party would “fix” the country’s issues by taking the following steps:
- Small cabinet, reduction in non-developmental expenditure
- Ending free petrol, diesel, electricity and gas [for govt officials]
- Ending annual privileges worth 4,500 of the elite
- Reduction in defense budget, especially non-combat
- Privatisation of state-owned enterprises that continuously facelosses
- Reforming and restructuring the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR)
- Repatriating money abroad
