Businessman, five guards found shot dead in Qila Saifullah

QUETTA: The bullet-riddled bodies of a business tycoon, Asim Khan Rahatzai, and his five security guards were found in a farmhouse in the mountainous area of Qila Saifullah on Monday.

Levies officials said lo­­cal administration had re­­ceived the information about the presence of six bodies in the area. Mem­bers of the Levies Force rushed to the site after receiving the information and found six bodies in a house in Qila Saifullah. They shifted the bodies to hospital for autopsy.

“All the six people have sustained multiple gunshot wounds, which cau­sed their death,” officials quoted hospital sources as saying. They believed the victims had been killed at least three days ago.

Informed sources said that Rahatzai was staying at the farmhouse of one of his friends.

An official of the local administration said that the motive behind the killing of Rahatzai could not be ascertained immediately as investigation was in progress.

He said the deceased belonged to Qila Saifullah and Muslim Bagh areas. Four of the deceased were identified as Aslam Khan Rahatzai, Baz Khan, Mohammad Ramzan and Abdul Sattar.
