SHC seeks reasons for suspension of internet services on poll day

The Sindh High Court (SHC) has expressed displeasure at the recent suspension of internet services in the country and directed the federal government to give reasons for the disruption.

During a hearing on a set of petitions against internet and social media outages, SHC Chief Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi remarked: “The internet is not working here, there or anywhere”.

“Why are you making a spectacle of the country in front of the world by shutting down the internet?” he asked.
