Are you following what you say you will do?

This is regarding the article “Are you following what you say you will do” by Mariha Asif (YW, January 20). The writer talks about the promises people make, but often fail to fulfil.

It was suggested that despite facing challenges, one should never back off from keeping their word. Our promises reflect our trust and sincerity towards our friends and community. When someone keeps a promise, they are seen as a responsible person. Those who cannot keep their word, lose others’ confidence and trust.

The article “Are you following what you say you will do?” by Mirha Asif, discussed a common issue of making commitments, but not fulfilling them on time.

It offers helpful advice on how to honour your promises to build trust with others. It also emphasises the importance of not making too many promises and concentrating on completing tasks one at a time.

A dream fulfilled

This is with reference to the story “A dream fulfilled” by Wania Kanwal (YW, January 27). The story told us that no matter how tough life gets, holding onto happy memories and chasing our dreams can help us overcome pain, and find strength and happiness.

The warmth of kindness

This concerns the story, “The warmth of kindness,” by Madia Qazi (YW, January 20). The story sheds light on the harsh reality of our world, where we often ignore or refuse to help those in need. It also highlighted the simple truth that even birds can see, yet humans are often blindly focused on wealth, neglecting those who truly deserve our help.

The story gave message that our small gestures can make a big difference in someone else’s life. These gestures may not cost us much, but they can have a significant impact on the lives of others.

I truly appreciate Maida Qazi for writing such a meaningful story “The warmth of kindness.” The story was a reminder and a lesson to all the readers that it is our responsibility to look after needy people and help them whenever possible.

We must provide warm clothes and blankets, especially in cold weather. I request the YW team to publish more such stories that bring out the good in us.
