Missing rickshaw wala found killed

TOBA TEK SING: A missing rickshaw driver from Faisalabad was found murdered on Sunday near a minor canal in Faisalabad, close to Dijkot.

According to his family, Washal Maseeh from the Factory Area went out on Feb 18 on his rickshaw but did not return. The Roashanwala police registered a kidnapping case, and on Sunday, his body was found in a polythene bag dumped in a canal. The Dijkot police shifted the body to the DHQ hospital for an autopsy.

Also, the blind murder of a car rider that occurred on Saturday on Canal Road near Chak 204 RB bridge has been resolved. Initial reports suggested that Azam was shot dead by robbers. His younger brother Fakhar was also in the same car, and he claimed he was asleep and awoke after gunfire, so he did not know who killed Azam.

However, on Sunday, the Madina Town police registered a case based on the complaint of Muhammad Javed. He complained that his son Fakhar shot dead his brother Azam over a monetary dispute. Accused Fakhar had asked deceased Azam to give him money for his Dubai tour, but he had refused, leading to Fakhar firing at him, resulting in his instant death.

NOTICE: Faisalabad City Police Officer retired Capt Muhammad Ali Zia has taken notice of a viral video in which Khurrianwala police SHO Ayub Sahi is seen torturing a citizen identified as Muhammad Zain in his house on Jan 30. A press release stated that Zain had made a bogus call reporting a robbery of batteries from his house. When the SHO arrived, he found out that Zain’s brother had taken away the batteries. The release added the SHO became angry and slapped caller Zain. He was issued a show cause notice over beating Zain, and the CPO directed Jaranwala SP to inquire into the incident.

ACCIDENT: More than a dozen passengers of a bus were injured as the bus overturned after colliding first with a truck at Faisalabad in Tandlianwala’s Mushtaq Chowk on Okara Road and then overturned on Sunday. Rescue 1122 reported that nine of the seriously wounded passengers were shifted to Tandlianwala THQ hospital. They were identified as Mohsin, Aqsa Bibi, Shahbaz, Zahida Bibi, Hafiz Amjad, Irshad Bibi, Irfan, Perveen, and Nazir.

ENCOUNTER: An alleged robber was killed in an encounter with the Kamalia Sadar police on Sunday morning.

The police said that a team was present near Gurdassa Bypass Road when they stopped a motorcycle ridden by three persons. However, they opened fire on the policemen, which was also retaliated.

They threw the motorcycle and took cover in a sugarcane field. When the firing stopped, the police found one of them killed while his accomplice escaped.

The deceased was identified as Allah Ditta Baloch of Rajana Chak 188 GB. A spokesperson said that he died after receiving bullets fired by his own accomplices.

He added that Allah Ditta was involved in numerous dacoity-cum-rape cases, as well as dozens of robberies and thefts. The police were conducting raids to arrest his accomplices.

FIRE: Three persons of a family were seriously burnt after a fire broke out in their kitchen due to a gas leakage from an LPG cylinder on Sunday at Faisalabad in Ali Town locality of Dijkot.

They were shifted to the burn unit of Allied hospital and were identified as Ghulam Datagir, Faiza Bibi, and Ismatullah.

SUICIDE: An alleged robbery suspect died by suicide in the lockup of Pirmahal police station on Sunday.

The police claimed that Muhammad Bilal who was wanted in robbery cases was arrested by Pirmahal City police post in charge ASI Muhammad Afzal and placed in the lockup.

He repeatedly hit his head against the iron bars of the lockup and died. The spokesperson stated that action would be taken against the policemen whose negligence led to his suicide in police custody.
