Constitution clear on summoning of NA session irrespective of whatever president does: Dar
PML-N leader Ishaq Dar has said the Constitution is clear on the summoning of the National Assembly session following the general elections.
“If the president wants to once again violate the Constitution, then it would mean that he does not want the NA to convene,” he said in a media talk.
Dar said the president could have summoned the NA any day before Feb 29 — the last day to call the lower house of the Parliament as per the law — but he delayed the process.
“I believe that the game being played with the Constitution is not a good tradition, the matter should have been handled gracefully,” the PML-N leader said, reiterating that the Constitution was clear.
