Three chemical string units sealed in Kasur
KASUR, March 5: Kasur police on Sunday sealed three chemical string manufacturing units and seized twine and other material worth Rs5.3 million.
Disclosing this to reporters, DPO Syed Ahmed Mobeen said the action was taken on instructions of Punjab IGP Ziaul Hasan Khan, who had got information about the units and supply of chemical coated string from Kasur to Lahore.
The DPO said that he constituted a team, headed by ASP Syed Ali Mohsin, and directed it to locate units and put them under surveillance. He said these units were raided when they were offloading two truckloads of chemicals used in the string making.
In the presence of DDO (R) Chaudhry Ilyas, he said three units and two godowns were sealed while police arrested owners general councillor Muhammad Akram, Muhammad Din and Ghulam Nabi and registered a case against them.
However, factory owner Ebad Ali and others managed to escape from the scene.
MURDERED: A man was murdered over a money dispute at Sadar Dawan village on Sunday.
Reports said that Abdul Ghani was killed with a sharp-edged weapon. A case has been registered against the accused on the report of Waris, the son of victim.
