PTI’s Gohar assails coalition parties for continuing ‘dynasty politics’
PTI MNA Barrister Gohar Khan has assailed the PPP and the PML-N for continuing with “dynasty politics”.
“They lecture us [but] they should do some soul searching too,” Gohar said while speaking on the floor of the National Assembly.
“If they are so proud of their democracy and rights, then tell us one word that they spoke when our party women went to jail. Did they say a single word in condemnation?”
Referring to the 91 PTI-backed MNAs, Gohar said, “They were too big to rig. […] They (coalition parties) were not even willing to let 30 win.”
The PTI MNA claimed that Imran “brought an end to dynasty politics” and was the reason why “a worker like himself” was appointed as the party’s chairman. “Is there no person in the PPP for president’s office that you have nominated Zardari?” Gohar asked.
“We do not even accept that he (Shehbaz) is the prime minister.”
