More PTI men get bail in corps commander house attack case

LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court on Tuesday granted post-arrest bail to 21 more activists of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) in the Jinnah House attack case.

Judge Naveed Iqbal allowed the bail petitions of Kamran Khan and other suspects subject to furnishing of surety bonds.

The other day, the court granted bail to 20 activists in the same case.

Over 60 suspects have so far been granted bail in the Jinnah House attack.

Sarwar Road police had registered a case against the leaders and the workers of the PTI on charges of attacking the Jinnah House, which also serves as residence of Lahore’s corps commander, and burning down the property last year during the May 9 riots.

The PTI had attacked public and private properties especially the military facilities in protest against the arrest of former prime minister Imran Khan in Al Qadir Trust case by NAB.
